Two Aussie films corralled for Sundance

TWO Australian feature films have been selected to screen at Robert Redford's 2007 Sundance Film Festival in the United States. Noise, featuring Love My Way star Brendan Cowell, and Clubland, starring Golden Globe-winning actor Brenda Blethyn, were among 3200 entries worldwide for the festival. The pair joins 122 films selected to screen during Sundance, beginning on January 18 in Park City, Utah. Clubland producer Rosemary Blight hoped their participation would propel Australian films further into the international spotlight. "We really need to find a platform to give us a profile and put it on the world stage," she said. "We are up against huge marketing budgets and huge films. For us, this gives us a platform and it gives us attention.
